La Joconde et le cadre
La Joconde et le cadre [Mona Lisa and the frame] is a collection of photographs taken by Gluekit in the Salle des États at the Louvre in 2017.
Leonardo da Vinci's Mona Lisa—known as La Joconde in France—is one of the most valuable paintings in the world. The work has been the object of theft and numerous attacks (an acid attack and a stoning in 1956; a red paint attack in 1974; a ceramic teacup attack in 2009), and as a legendary work of art, is one of the most well-known images in the world. An estimated 6 million people view the Mona Lisa each year and they all want a picture.
