From his home in the Cairngorms of Scotland, Cameron McNeish reflects on a life dedicated to the outdoors. In this long-awaited autobiography, he candidly recalls the ups and downs of a full life, much of it in the public eye, much of it until now unseen.
Cameron McNeish is an established figure on the Scottish and British outdoor scene. As editor of TGO he increased circulation and established the magazine as Britain’s premier walking publication. He is the author of numerous books and presenter of many outdoor television programmes, including several on long distance walks.
As a full time outdoor writer, magazine editor, backpacker and trek leader he has travelled extensively throughout the Himalaya, Jordan, North America, Corsica and many other mountainous areas of the world. His television credits have ranged from the BAFTA-award winning The Edge – 100 Years of Scottish Mountaineering to his hugely popular Christmas programmes on BBC Scotland that include The Sutherland Trail, The Skye Trail, The Scottish National Trail and more recently Roads Less Travelled.
