PRACTICAL TRAINING IN THINKING
Practical Training in Thinking is based on twelve “states of thought” – doubt, connection, inversion, aesthesis, emergence, light, sufferance, tenderness, eros, calm, equilibrium, and prayer – and a series of corresponding thinking exercises. Conceived and written by Snejanka Mihaylova; edited and designed by Philip Baber. Published on the occasion of the exhibition Beyond Imagination at the Stedelijk Museum, Amsterdam, including a seminar by Snejanka Mihaylova in dialogue with Mladen Dolar on the relation between philosophy and theatre and the staging of thought in the Western philosophical tradition. The seminar can be viewed in two parts, here and here.
