The publishing house August Verlag Berlin is a forum for theory at the crossroads of philosophy, politics and art. The publications appear in two formats: The Small Edition is devoted to the essay as a form of intervention that is too long for a journal and too short for a traditional book. The Large Format presents contemporary theory as well as translations of classics.
Submission Policy
Apart from seeking out writers and projects ourselves, we invite writers, artists and collectives to send in submissions and suggestions. Decisions on what is publicated are taken by the publishing collective once per month.
