Belladonna publishes and promotes the work of writers who are adventurous, experimental, politically involved, multi-form, multicultural, multi-gendered, impossible to define, unpredictable, and dangerous with language. Since our founding in 1999 as a reading and salon series at Bluestockings Bookstore, Belladonna has grown into a publisher of chaplets, chapbooks, and full-length books of poetry and multi-genre writing, with a particular focus on fostering the work of emerging authors.
Submission Policy
We currently do not have open calls for submissions for our full length books. Our chaplet series is produced in coordination with our reading series and readers/chaplet authors are selected by rotating reading series curators. In 2019 we will be launching a journal called Matters of Feminist Practice, for which we will have open submissions.
