Based in Berlin, Started 2011
K. Verlag is a publishing atelier advancing new forms of the “book-as-exhibition”. Our editorial-curatorial approach to book-making engenders provocative encounters with art, science, design, politics, and ecology. Based in Berlin, the atelier collaborates internationally with artists and institutions, developing singular volumes, whose materiality and micro architecture are never exhausted for the purpose of (exhibition) documentation alone. K. pushes the boundaries of the traditional exhibition catalog—our publications instead open independent and/or adjacent aesthetic and discursive spaces.
K. accepts well-researched and developed proposals from writers, artists, curators, scientists, and others. Previous projects by K. have engaged themes of naturecultures, post/colonialism and ethnography, geopolitics, contemporary history and environmental violence, as well as visual culture, literature, and (not least) feminism.
