School of Observation is a research laboratory dedicated to experiments in art and design, with a focus on materiality and handcraft. Founded in 2014 by designer Amanda Haas, the laboratory develops ideas, projects and objects through collaborative and constantly evolving processes. In 2017, School of Observation expanded into the realm of independent publishing, specialising in publications on art, design and mindfulness. Under the co-direction of Haas and artist Giacomo Santiago Rogado, both branches of the School are guided by the inclination to re-examine their subject matter from a considered perspective: to observe, to reimagine, and above all, to keep learning.
